Neil Nitin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone in ‘Lafangey Parindey’
20th August 2010 is all set to see one of the most anticipated releases of this year from Yash Raj films hit the screens. The film uniquely titled ‘Lafangey Parindey’ has been directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film has Neil Nitin Mukesh as Nandu and Deepika Padukone as Pinky in the lead pair. Their roles are extremely challenging and this love story with a difference is set in the gritty streets of Mumbai.
Incidentally, director Sarkar seems so pleased with the portrayals of Deepika and Neil in the film that he has already gifted them an iPad each as a token of appreciation.
John asked to skip gym for staying healthy!
John Abraham is going through a very low phase. And no, it has nothing to do with his relationship with Bipasha Basu.
Trouble started when doctors asked fitness freak John to stay away from the gym. Needless to say, the advice was nothing short of a punishment for the actor.
According to the doctors, excessive exercise has taken a toll on John's body and he is suffering from acute muscle fatigue. The only way to recovery, they say, is to take a break from the gym.
For the past one-and-a-half months, John has been exercising for three to four hours every day.
He needs to have an extremely well-built body for his role in Vipul Shah's remake of the Tamil film Khakha Khakha, to be directed by Nishikant Kamat. On the other hand, Dostana 2 requires him to have a ribbed and totally lean look.
In preparation for his roles, John was following two exercise regimens under two trainers and it obviously took a toll on the actor. A source says, "Much to John's surprise, the doctors asked him to stop it for a while. They said his body can't take it anymore."
The health-conscious John is against using artificial supplements and wants to build his body the hard way. Anyway, he has been following the doctors' advice for now.
We wonder what Bipasha feels about the situation. Considering the fact that she, too, is a fitness freak, we are sure she can understand his predicament

Akshay Kumar is known for his daring stunts, but singing is something he had never done before. In his upcoming comedy Khatta Meetha, Akshay doesn't just sings, he does so in Marathi!
Wearing a white marathi style cap, Akshay croons 'Nana-chi Taang' (which means 'Teri aisi ki taisi' in Hindi). Akshay Kumar plays a Marathi manus named 'Sachin Tichkule' in the Priyadarshan helmed film. Trisha, who plays Akshay's love interest in this movie, has done many south projects and will be debuting in Bollywood with this film. Bhushan Kumar of T-series says this song has it all to become the biggest hit of the year. After announcing the film, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan decided that the film will be based on June 2009 murder of Bihar PWD engineer Yogendra Pandey who was killed by Bihar's road mafia. To begin with the film was to be an adaptation of Priyan's 1988 drama Vellanakalude Nadu which is a fictional version of road mafia and corruption in road business. Khatta Meetha is due in theaters on July 23.
